Brady's words
Melanie was the closest guess with "football." Congratulations, you win......umm, not $50....
Brady is signing more words every few days. I think he signed "cat" today, and he's been doing "dog" for a week or so. He has also picked up on "sleep." He tries to sign "book" but it looks like just clapping or "more." He does say "buuh, buuh" and furiously sign "more" each time a story ends.
In addition to signing and baby english, he chatters on and on about who knows what. He loves to make a surprised "Ooh" face. Sometimes he breathes in and out and it makes a whistle sound.
Carl hopes to have him saying "Bronco Mendenhall" by the end of the year. I'm just shooting for "ho ho ho."

Thanksgiving, anyone?
This years Thanksgiving memories will have to rely on brain power. As Uncle Dave was carving up our yummy turkey I went to get the camera. AH!! It was not in ze bag! It was home. Oh sad! Even though we live 5 minutes away, we didn't get it. So, no pictures of that lovley day. Just memories. (isn't that what people did BEFORE cameras??)
This years Thanksgiving started off with a good ol' Turkey Bowl at ASU for the men-folk. A bunch of guys (missionaries and church members) got together and tossed around the pigskin. Carl says it was worth it, even with all the sore and spasming muscles that followed. When they got home we finished preparing our contributions to the dinner. The best part was waiting for the pie to bake. We busted out a most beloved board game and had a blast! We went to Uncle Dave's house this year. Brady missed most of dinner due to his need to take a 4 o'clock nap. Dinner was wonderful with lots of good sides. I did miss Grandma B's turkey and pilgrim salt and pepper shakers. We have lots of left over food. It was wonderful to be with people you love.
