Eat dinner? That's overrated.

Ahh, spaghetti night.
Brady is not so fond of eating spaghetti noodles. I let him have the plate last night, just to see what he would do.

Apparently spaghetti is much more fun to shake and wear in your hair than eating it is.

Shake that doodle doodle, baby!

*I guess Aunt Gretchen cooks her spaghetti way better than me. He chowed it down tonight at her house.

Cotton Tailed

The other night we had a little visitor. Carl spotted him (?) as we were eating dinner. He was checking out the patio. I couldn't resist and had to get the camera.
I also scooped him up to show Brady. I'm sure he would have loved to cuddle it. I, however, was NOT about to let him touch it. The bunny may have been cute, but who knows what kind of germies it was covered with. He hung around the house the rest of the night. I decided to get a box for a shelter.

See how small!!
Unfortunately the wind must have been getting into the box. Little bunny didn't make it through the night. *Tear* Now we know that if we are going to shelter bunny with a box, to make sure there is a blanket for him and it is really sheltered from the wind. Oh, little bunny, have fun in bunny heaven.

Plan B

I had so been lookinf forward to a trip to the Memphis Temple with the sisters in our stake today. However, upon arriving home last night Brady's temp was around 103 degrees. I called the Dr. and a nurse called me back. She suggested that the Dr. would want to see him in the morning. He has been pretty warm since Monday, and possibly even Sunday. I figured he's just teething, we've been going going going with Grandma Charlene in town, and that his crankiness was due to him asserting his independence. After a TWO HOUR wait at the office the Dr. tells us he's got an ear infection. Oh, great. On one hand I'm glad to know what is bothering the little guy and that we can get him better. On the other, I'm concerned that either we're not observant enough as parents or he's not very good at letting us know when he's really in pain.

I'm bummed that I didn't get to go to the temple, but children's health comes first. I'm sure the Lord will give me credit for the desires of my heart like he did to David. We're reading the Old Testament at night. Solomon just finished building the temple and was saying how his father David wanted to build a house for the Lord but couldn't and that God knew the desires of his heart. Ah, good, now I don't feel so bad.

Please, Carl, can I have this??

I love good music. We recieved this when Brady was born. It's a wonderful collection of Primary songs set to soft and soothing lullaby essence.

I do not doubt the words of the songs are true. I especially get goosebumps when I listen to "I am like a star"
I am like a star shining brightly
Smiling for the whole world to see
I can do and say happy things each day
For I know Heavenly Father loves me
And when I listen to "I feel my savior's love", again I really feel His love.
Sweet peace it brings to me to know that I am a Child of God, that He loves me and has given me parents, teachers, my husband and a living Prophet to help me find my way back home with Him.
The same record company has produced two other albums for bedtime, Baby Mine (which has classic songs on it, not necessarily LDS songs) and Mary's Lullaby: Christmas Songs for Bedtime with the classic carols and one of my favorite older hymns, "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing." The creators wife (whose blog I stumbled onto) said they are avaliable at Wal-Mart and Deseret Book (and other LDS book stores). It's a good thing we have lots of Wal-Marts here.

It's good to be back

Good-bye Lappy!!

We are up and running again. Things are a little bit different though. No personalized desktop, no huge folders of pictures and music easily accessible, and no crap slowing my computer down. We will get back to normal, or some semblance of it soon though.

I did not poke my eye out, I just dreamt about loading this file and rebooting 1,324,987 times. May you never experience such a catastrophe in your lifes. Please, remember, the day of your computer crashing may be near. Give yourself some peace of mind and back up your files.

A Blog Blarg

Blarg!!! So, my wonderful overworked hard drive crashed, oh, like two weeks ago. I shipped the little thing of to my Dad so he could save all the info for me. Oh it works juuuuuuuuuust fine for him. That's great. He is able to pull all my important irreplacable files off of it, and completely copy the thing. He ships it back to me along with a whole library of CD/DVDs to reintall windows on my new four-times-as-big hard drive we purchased. (See, the old one had 40 G and a new one with 160 G was just over half a benjamin and we figured the old one was toast at the time we made the decision to purchase the new one. So no comments about friviously spending our monies.) Since we bought the CPU from a friend I have none of the original setup disks that came with it. My dad helped me install windows XP like 4 different times (over the phone, man is my neck kinked) trying to get something to work. It would be an even longer story with all the details.

So we get Windows XP Pro installed, which is what I had before, all the drivers are updated, the internet is up, everything looks pretty good. Most the display settings are set where they should be. This has been a pretty tedious process that started Thursday around 2 p.m., lasted until 10:30 p.m. last night, and resumed at 7:15 o'dark-hundred this morning. Where was I? Oh, yes, we were all set up, almost. When going to do my windows updates it tells me I can't activate my windows! Well, I'll be!! So, here I am RE-Installing Windows XP Home onto the new hard drive. I should be a pro at this by now, I've only done it like 15 times.

Good news, though. I was able to activate my XP Home edition and the windows updates have just finished. I think we are well on the road to recovery. And I didn't even poke my eye out, like I very much wanted to. Go me.

Oh, and I did pay LOTS of attention to the baby today. I gave up my naptime to complete this fun adventure. I'm going to need some serious chocolate tonight. It's times like these that I'm sure I'd kick a few back if I were a drinker. Instead, I'll opt for the less serious offense, death by chocolate.

Good Day.

Brady's First Haircut

It was time for us to trim those fine little locks of his. He looked like a shaggy little guy whose momma doesn't love him. So off we went to the hair salon (Super Cuts, fancy, huh?).

Check out that snazzy cape. And Carl, that's a hot man bag you have there.

The stylist had this toy camera to entertain Brady. She said he wasn't too bad and that she wished more kids would behave like he did.

Brady is checking out his new 'do, and talking on dad's phone.

Off with the snazzy cape! You're all done!

What a handsome little boy!!

Rockin' 'Dos

We had some fun with Brady's hair before getting it cut.
