Tummy Photos

The smiles are cheesy. I AM happy to be pregnant. Doing pretty good actually. If it wasn't for the large obtrusion in my abdominal region and the interior movement I wouldn't even know I was pregnant.

He did have a Birthday!

Shout Hooray!!

Mommy has just been having trouble with getting a slideshow put together.

We had friends and family there. It was a little party. I think everyone had fun. Thanks for helping us celebrate his special day!!

Brady at two has a VERY big vocabulary and speaks VERY well. I am surprised that he even does the "th" sound correctly.
He loves anything that is a ball.
He loves his Symion kitty.
He has grown and is now in the 50% for height and weight!
He loves to sing anything. He will even make up new words to familiar songs.
He will break out into primary songs unexpectedly.
He is now sleeping in a "big boy" toddler bed.
He makes his mommy fall in love with him over and over again, everyday.

We love you Brady!!!

God Bless the IRS

We submitted out Federal tax return with an error that shorted us $500 on our refund. I was just getting ready to file an amendment. I got a letter in the mail today saying they had caught the error. We were credited the extra in our refund!

Thanks for watching our back, friends at the IRS.

In the eye of the beholder

Ever see this? I see it A LOT out here on cars and trucks. What is it? Well, it's a buckmark. The head of a deer and antlers. That's not what I see when I look at it though... I see this....

Even before being pregnant I saw it this way.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Many moons ago I was born. It was February 12th, 1984. 26 years have passed since then. Oh, what fun it has been!

On my birthday Carl and I went to Western Sizzlin'. It's kinda like Sizzler, only with a MUCH bigger salad bar. We each got a nice steak that was prepared immaculately. YUUUUUUUUUUMMM I ate all of mine. Carl took some of his home. I think I embarrassed him a little bit when I asked for some fresh toast. The slice I got was cold and soggy. It was my birthday and I felt like I deserved a piece of nice warm, crispy toast. I let the pregnant woman in me come out and nicely get what she wanted. That grilled piece of bread was HEAVEN!!!
After dinner we picked Brady up from his cousin's house and put him to bed. Then we watched "Julie and Julia." I enjoyed it. Thanks Carl for letting me get a non-mannish movie.
A friend from my branch dropped off some chocolate covered strawberries and candy earlier that day. We were so stuffed from dinner we had no room in our bellies for them.
Okay, I think I had one that night.

My Sister-in-Law got me a birthday cake. That was good, because I never got around to making me a cake, nor did Carl. Thanks G.
The next day or so we were ready to dig into the cake. Since it was my birthday cake we needed to do the proper rituals. We stuck 26 candles into it.

It was a flamin'!

Carl sang Happy Birthday with me, to me.
I did not get all the candles out in one breath.

It was good cake. It was a good birthday. The best part was that I didn't even have anything specific in mind that I wanted for gifts. Carl got me (us) new house phones. Brady pushed the buttons on the old ones to death, literally. Also, I think I got a can opener....or maybe that was for valentines... The best gift was spending time with my little boy and my bigger little boy, knowing my family loves me and also my friends. Thanks everyone.
