You know it's time to buy new potatoes when....
they have 7 inch long tentacles growing out of them.
Anyone know of a better way to store potatoes than in a paper bag in the pantry?

Google says to store them in a paper or plastic bag with holes in it. Store at around 50 degrees, but not in the fridge.
Doubt if that's helpful. My only other advise would be to buy a smaller bag of potatoes or eat them faster. Mine grow roots all the time. REALLY annoying!
Hey at least potatoes are cheap.
Also, please be advised that the bag of potatoes with tentacles looks like a bag of dead mice. Just thought you should know.
I store them in the fridge all the time. They last forever without sprouting. By the way, you CAN still eat them after they sprout... just break off the tentacles, and dig out the spots... if you're adventurous!
